Following two weeks of discussions, this social session provides a unique space to reflect on the different COP16 presentations, meetings and hallway conversations on the topic of biodiversity conservation compensation. We will exchange notes on some of the cases presented, financial instruments, and metrics available and being developed. We will discuss promising financial mechanisms and how to safeguard “unlocked” resources to ensure compliance with set goals and benefit generation.
