This joint CGIAR–FARA workshop will bring together African partners and stakeholders to discuss the emerging CGIAR Africa Strategy and contribute to shaping CGIAR Strategy 2040, inviting feedback, inputs and guidance to strengthen their relevance, ownership and impact.
Â
The discussion will create space for engagement with governments, regional and subregional organizations, African research institutions, farmer organizations, private-sector actors, finance and development partners, and civil society.
Â
Participants will reflect on how CGIAR's future strategic directions can better align with continental priorities, including the Kampala Declaration, CAADP implementation, climate resilience, food systems transformation and Africa's role in shaping the future of agricultural research and innovation.
Â
Through facilitated discussion, the workshop will identify priority areas for collaboration, gaps to address, and practical ways CGIAR and FARA can work with African partners to support science-based delivery, investment and impact at scale, while informing CGIAR's future direction to 2040.
