The "One Health Horizons: Catalyzing Collaborations, Innovations and Policies for Improving Global Health and Food Security" side event aims to unite experts and stakeholders from various sectors to enhance global health and food security through the One Health approach, which acknowledges the interconnectedness of human, animal, plant, and ecosystem health. This session will facilitate knowledge exchange, showcasing the latest research, best practices, and innovative solutions in One Health from CGIAR and partners, from the global to local level of One Health operationalization. Discussions will include insights from CGIAR and partners on One Health research and application, the African Union Fertilizer and Soil Health Action Plan, endorsed in Nairobi, May 2024. Additionally, the session will highlight innovations in livestock health management and aquaculture systems, exploring how improved disease surveillance, biosecurity measures, and enhanced soil health and fertilizer policies can mitigate the effects of global food-fertilizer-fuel price shocks and supply chain disruptions.
