The Harmonized Crop Report (HCR) is CGIAR’s first integrated crop strategy tool that brings together data from across breeding programs into a single, standardized dashboard. Far more than a reporting tool, it helps crop teams, managers, and partners track the relevance, strategy, and performance of breeding pipelines using carefully selected indicators.
The HCR integrates information from the Breeding Portal, GloMIP, and Bioflow, making it possible to analyze market segments, breeding strategies, partner engagement, investments, variety releases, genetic gain, and trial performance... all in one place. This enables teams to make data-driven decisions, identify strengths and gaps, update strategies, and present compelling evidence for fundraising and reporting.
In short, the HCR is a one-stop “source of truth” for crop breeding strategy and performance across CGIAR, designed to simplify reporting, support resource mobilization, and strengthen impact.
