Invasive plant species are one of the biggest threats that pastoralism faces, and the biggest cause of rangeland degradation. This event will present an overview of the dire situation of invasive species spread, challenges, and their impact on land and livelihoods. Good practice strategy development and rangeland monitoring systems will be shared. Ways to incentivize private sector investment will be discussed. The event will conclude with a Call to Action on Invasive Plant Species with agreement on priority action points. Â
