Participatory rangeland management (PRM) is a community-led process innovation strengthening capacities to better manage, govern and restore rangelands more equitably in the face of climate change and other challenges. Originating in Ethiopia and now covering over 1 million hectares, piloted in Kenya and Tanzania and taken up by IGAD as a tool for scaling across the Horn of Africa region it has potential for changing the way donors, development and conservation organisations invest in improving rangelands globally with communities in the driving seat.
